Victorian Christmas
Market 2012...

Romeo and Diego with Santa

The Victorian Christmas Market took place this year in the Village Hall and annex on Sunday 2nd December. Both areas were full of a wealth of many varied crafts and other items, all beautifully displayed in a festive atmosphere. It was a perfect opportunity for people to find those extra special seasonal gifts and treats.
Sewing craftwork
Items on display included plenty of cleverly designed greeting cards, labels and other stationary. There were woodturning and woodwork items such as clocks, bowls, jewellery and trinket boxes, lamp stands, light pulls and more. Also on display were a wide assortment of sewing and knitted items such as bags, cushions, scarves, quilting, cot covers and clothes. There was intricately and beautifully made jewellery along with decorations of all kinds as well as some toiletries.
unusual gifts of teacup & saucer with chocs
Unusual gifts included beautifully wrapped sets of teacups and saucers containing chocolates or candles. There were delicious homemade cakes, pastries and preserves which are always popular. A raffle and tombola were held with lots of wonderful prizes and there was also a bottle stall. Refreshments available included hot roast pork rolls, homemade mince pies, tea and coffee. Of course there was a visit from Santa with his sack of little gifts for all the children! A great deal of hard work and effort went into the making of the items on display, setting up the displays and arranging the whole event. Many thanks go to everyone involved, including those who supported this popular event.
